Igreja de São Martinho de Cedofeita
Description
The Church of São Martinho of Cedofeita started as a building dating back perhaps to the Visigoth period and is also known as Church Românica of Cedofeita.
It is thought to be the oldest church in Porto. It was rebuilt in Romanesque style and its main chapel dates from the early twelfth century. Pay attention to the figure of Agnus-Dei, in the tympanum of the north portal and to the capitals of the interior columns decorated with birds, fantastical animals, and plant motifs.
