Capela da Nossa Senhora da Silva
Description
This curious building, which surprises those who walk along the Caldeireiros street for the first time, has been the home of the Confraria (Brotherhood) of Nossa Senhora da Silva since the fifteenth century.
Its façade displays a beautiful eighteenth-century oratory with images of Nossa Senhora da Silva, S. João Baptista, and S. Baldomero, all duly protected by a carved cover.
The chapel proper is inside the building, and along with an inn, it used to be managed by the city’s blacksmiths, boilermakers and fish hook makers.
